The Cartridge World franchise website claims that it gives its franchise owners the tools for profitability and success:

“Cartridge World provides unsurpassed on-going training and support, cutting edge proprietary equipment and products, territory ‘Master’ support and training, real estate assistance, marketing support and collateral, along with all the advantages of a Global Network.

“Join the largest and fastest growing franchise company in the industry! The phenomenal growth of Cartridge World continues to enhance the network by way of increased franchise profitability.”

However, data released by the Small Business Administration (SBA) indicates that Cartridge World franchise owners who qualified for SBA-backed franchise loans have an disturbingly high loan failure rate of 26%.

That qualifies Cartridge World for inclusion in UnhappyFranchisee.com’s list of WORST FRANCHISES IN AMERICA (by SBA loan defaults)

Cartridge World franchise owners have an alarming 26% SBA default rate.

The apparent drop in Cartridge World franchises in recent years is also a franchise red flag.

The inability to repay an SBA-backed loan (or any franchise loan, for that matter) indicates a serious situation for the franchisee.

It’s likely that Cartridge World franchise owners who received SBA loans may have collateralized their franchise loan with their homes or other personal assets, and many were unable to repay those franchise loans… despite the serious incentive to do so.

  • Franchise Owner till I can get out

It is a common place where bullying and threatening franchisee’s into using products that they don’t believe are a benefit to there customers. The Queensland Master hides behind threats and belittling his franchisee’s to keep them at bay, when caught out running a online scam where his son’s store was receiving all the sales which should have gone to the franchisee’s in that area, also opening up a online store called not cartridge world to work against his own franchisees because of his greed and unhanded ways, using excuse after excuse, malfunctioning IT was the most laughable, many are working for nothing or have gone broke trying to survive. Don’t get me wrong it was an amazing franchise when it was owned by the original owner who created it, but then it became all about how they could make money from the franchisee’s.

  • I owned an operated a franchise in SEA. There was no support from CW head office. Even when shown that the master franchisor was breaking the contract by selling in a franchised area, CW said it wasn’t their problem. In the end it cost me around 100k AUD. Since selling my franchise the master franchisor has also shut down.CW is and was a bad decision on my behalf.
