• Some good reading, just a lot of nonsense.

  Mac Allied Tool Company...formed in 1946, started building toolboxes for MAC Tools, a company who sold tools.

  Move Forward to 1976, MAC and MATCO split, as a dealer you had your choice, stay with MAC or go with MATCO.

  1984 Chicago Phenumatic buys MATCO, then 1986 Sells to Danaher, Around the same time MATCO stops building toolboxes for MAC.

  MATCO owns the toolbox plant in Jamestown, surprised you never got to go on a tour of the plant, a lot of people have.

  @Former, have no problem getting guys approved for a PSA, about 67% and have over $500,000 on the street in PSA, not to mention a sizeable TP.

  I don't worry about my competition, or what MATCO is doing. I only worry what I need to do. When I start worrying about my competiton, or how many guys don't want to work, then I start loosing focus on my business, which is to sell tools.

  @Tommy, why is it you talk about winning all this money, but the only current lawsuit matco is involved in is the TD Bank think with Guest? And I can't personally attack you so I will ask you this, if we have proven most everything you said to be fiction, how possibly are you going to win in court, on a lawsuit that you haven't even filled yet?

• Tommy NEVER seen a MATCO Tool Made in Mexico, you will have to let me know which tool that is, I would like to see that?

• Tommy. How soon you forget. When I left the truck for the first time I became a District Manager for Matco (I was a top ten DBR prior, and a top 10 DM), you found my personal email and sent me an email crying about failing in the business and that I should join your cause. I told you back then as I am telling you now, you failed not Matco failed you. I spent 10 years with Matco and know the system inside and out. It's nearly perfect. I sold franchises, I sold tools, and I seperated distributors that wanted or needed out.

  So don't blow sunshine up my ass because I know you and I know why you're here. You didn't follow the plan, you thought you were smarter just as you think you are here. Don't you get it? Your product was you. It's about service and building a reputation of offering the best service. And only you can do that, not Matco. No one said it was easy cupcake. So this is why I suggested you, back then and again today, that you look for a job where dirrection is easy to follow.
  LEAVE SMALL BUISNESS OWNERSHIP TO THOSE THAT ARE WILLING TO PUT IN THE HARD WORK REQUIRED TO WIN!

  Just for your information, when I left as a DM I purchased another Matco truck, ran it to a another top finish. Sold it a year ago to buy a car dealership. Couldn't have done it with out the money I made as a distributor for Matco Tools. You see, I haven't worked with Matco in 15 months, but I can personally say that I will gladly testify in their behalf, as an ex DBR (2x), and an ex DM. I have zero bad to say about Matco's offering to true small business owners.

  Move on Tommy and friends. You failed, not you failed because of...

• I just heard from a distributor that told me he
  stopped
  going to Expo for those same reasons!!

  however Matco will NOT let you attend
  unless you buy their package.

  The last Vegas trip Matco charged us around $240 per night per person, when I called Ceasars randomly I was quoted $!40.00 per night for a mini suite.

  Here is a better one: the vendors at the shows do not pay the Hotel, they pay Matco who buys the whole EXPO package at one giant bulk price then resells it to us and the vendors...the Oakley rep told me Matco charged them $14000.00 (fourteen thousand dollars) for that little 12' X 12' booth, they were not happy about it...so the whole Expo along with all the awards they pretend to pay for and the dinner they pretend to pay for and the give-aways they pretend to pay for and the free rooms for top franchisee's they pretend to pay for....

  IS MATCO "PAYING" FOR ANYTHING................................

  why would they????? the poor, going bankrupt, trying to do everything right distributors are the ones on the Hook for the whole deal!

• i like the one where 3 years ago matco said that there was nothing wrong with the economy but they cut out all the extras like the christmas party and things like that. they were feeling it too but didnt want to admit it.

  While searching the Internet I had come across a Danaher financial report that SHOWED MATCO TOOLS POSTED A LOSS - their sales were down - but yet, Distributors were still held to the FICTITIOUS National Purchase Average

  The last company I worked for actually SAID, There IS a recession but we CHOOSE NOT to participate.

  How the HELL do you CHOOSE NOT to participate????

  About as dumb as Matco telling distributors THEY failed...........when actually,
  MATCO FAILED THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

  It is indecent the damage they cause, the lives they ruin, the financial LOSES for which they are SOLELY responsible.

  The DAY I could no longer CO sign my daughter's college loan - was THE DAY Matco MESSED with my kids - NOBODY! messes with my kids!
