I started working with Danny Jones under the $20,000 down n six months will be in business making a lotsof money ,a total investment of $149,000. That was a dream, the truth was not even close. I ended up with an investment of $325,000 and took me three years to open my door for business.Java Joz later on Cuppys projected me 800 cups a day which it is about $2,000 a day. They were not near close. My best day was $50,normaly I do $20/day open 6:00a6:pm.

I am owed 39k from Elite Manufacturing and entered into a settlement agreement to pay back the mount. I have only recieved $500.00 from the company back in April and nothing since. The company moved and there are no longer any contact information. There is a Cuppies that recently opened and quite honestly I would really like to make it difficult for that owner based on t he fact that the company that he condones rips people off . I have been patient with all of their financial issues. Since then I have foreclosed on my home, lost my job. I want my money back….

With all due respect, Erin, you really need to learn to do your homework. You were foolish to give your money to Cuppy’s/Elite in the first place (as were hundreds of others) and you are foolish to blame your fellow victims now. How exactly do you propose to make it more difficult for people who have been left on their own, saddled with debt, drowning in extra expenses and have the same disconnected phone numbers you do?

Do you really think the surviving Cuppy’s franchisees “condone” Cuppy’s Coffee franchise dept., Elite Manufacturing, Robert “Morg” Morgan, Dale Nabors, Brian Hayes, and their accomplices? You lost tens of thousands; most of them (imho) will lose hundreds of thousands. The only people you see “condoning” here are the ex-employees who are either in denial or are waiting for the gang to get back together for the next heist. Most of the employees realize now they were part of a sham and have moved on, washing their hands frequently and nervous when asked about their prior employment.

Here’s some light reading to get you up to speed. Mary Patrick’s account will make you realize you got a bargain losing only $34K:
CUPPY’S COFFEE, Java Jo’z, Elite Manufacturing, Medina Blogliography

  • Erin Johnson’s anger is understandable … but her aim is completely misdirected. How stupid to wish ill on the surviving franchisees who are left trying to make the best of a bad situation. Instead of her mindless assault on the existing store owners, her energy would be better channeled getting in her car and driving to Muscle Shoals, Alabama where she will find the source of her financial struggles!

If she wants to find the source of her financial struggles – and see where her money is being enjoyed – she’d be better off going to Destin, FL. If her settlement was in April, her money was spent long before FranSynergy took over.

  • Roy Snowden is back in court, this time as a plaintiff.
