Cynthia W. wrote:

Jenny Craig is the single most dishonest, unprofessional and corrupt place I have ever been.

I joined the Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend, intending to come back the next week to buy food (so I could get rid of what I still had at home). After several hard core attempts to get me to buy the food that day, I did. The next day I had a shocking death in my family, and knew the next few months would be hard, so I called and asked for a refund of the $149 I had spent on food.

That was FIVE MONTHS AGO. To date, I have not received a refund. I have called 20 times, always get the run around. DO NOT GO TO THE SAUGUS MA STORE, LISA THE MANAGER IS THE MANAGER. AWFUL PEOPLE. AWFUL ORGANIZATION.

JENNY CRAIG is a SCAM…..The cost to join is way to high and the food is not that great.

After two days on the food I was bloated, nauseated and vomiting. I also had severe gas, by the way was not explained to me by my advisor. All those girl that worked there look sick and unhealthy. Please advise you friend not to join JENNY.

Also I cancelled in three days and was not given my full refund they scam me out of 100 dollars. I hate the day I went into JENNY. All those center need to close…….I dont think any of them know anything about food and nutrition.

Please pass it along, no one else need to give JENNY another penny of there hard working money. JENNY is crazy. And her soup are nasty. When you see a Jenny Craig RUN do not walk.

I maintained my weight loss for 1 year after I hit my goal. The policy is you will receive 1/2 of your enrollment fee back but… here it is 4 months later and I haven’t received a penny…

I have called 4 times and there is always an excuse, the paper work wasn’t done right and had to be resubmitted??? I am tired of having to call and ask, but… they sure are happy taking our money but… they obviously don’t stand by their policy!!!!!!

after the birth of our son and watching valerie bertinelli on oprah my wife and i decided that it was a good idea for her to join jenny craig. BIG MISTAKE the food is about $200 a week and the so called personal advisor could care less about you. because she was out of work the $200 a week was hard for us they talked her in signing up for a year a 1 week of food this cost $600

i wish i was there during the sign up process but i had to work, well she stopped going and we have not heard anything from our local PATCHOGUE JENNY CRAIG OFFICE here in LONG ISLAND NEW YORK It just goes to show that they dont truly care about your weight loss success only your money and once they have your money its on to the next sucker i would advise not to go to JENNY CRAIG EVER.

Are you familiar with the Weight Watchers Online? Please share your experience – good or bad – with a comment below.

Before you sign up for any diet, weight loss or similar program, always do your due diligence and see what others are saying.

Also, be very careful about paying upfront for any program, products or service.

Whenever possible, pay with a major credit card so that you can use their dispute resolution department if you don’t receive promised services or products.

Here’re some of the consumer complaints we’ve received about Weight Watchers Online.  Please share your experience below.

Gail Marshall wrote:

WW online is a SORRY SERVICE! On May 17th, I signed for 3 month of the site for $65. After just 6 days, I was getting tired of trying to remember every bite of food I ate and entering that in the journal each day. Besides that, it is just too much food to eat if you want to lose 10 lbs. I sent a cancellation request on May 23rd and found out today they are planning to give me $16.95 refund….. This is really poor service. Our country is trying to recover from a recession and WW online are deceiving customers by taking their money! Believe me, this is not over yet….. My money is just as important as their money.

I did the free 7 day etool online which expired yesterday. I had copied and pasted how to cancel the trial and put it in my outlook calendar so I knew when to cancel it. When I went through the steps, it didn’t give you an option to cancel the trial, it just states to cancel a one month or three month subscription. I chose the least time (one month) and then to my surprise, it said they had issued a refund of $16.10 to my credit card.

I knew that meant that they had charged me for a subscription so today I called the 1-800 number and the representative adv’d my card had been charged $64. and change. I told her I only was doing the 7 day free trial but couldn’t find an option to cancel the trial. She said no problem and issued a credit for $48.00 and change so that with the $16.10, cleared off the charge to my card.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR WEIGHT WATCHERS ONLINE! BUYER BEWARE!

This company sells you a free membership and 3 months of online use for 57.00 – what they never tell you is that the site is lame – they give you an overflow of basic information and once you figure that out and try to cancel after a week or 2 they take all of your money! They charge you the sign up fee and then inflate the monthly membership.

They are so terrible, so terrible for lying and tricking people who want to loose weight! I am never going to look at that company the same. The diet does work, it is a good product but how they lie to you and steal from you in regards to the online site.. is outrages and should be against the law!

Yes! Weight Watcher provides false advertising and using deceptive advertising on their website bait-n-switch! all I know is I wanted to try it for 7 days. It was very confusing to me and finding numbers on everything I ate. on 02/04 I tried the program under the impression that I was trying it for 7 days. they charge my card $53.85. I tried the program for 3 days and I did not like it. I went to the online portal to cancel my order on 02/09. The system stated that I would only get a refund for $5.95.

I called the 1-800 number and the operator stated that I was not on the 7 day plan and that I will only get $5.95. I explain to them that I am not interested in the service and that want to cancel it today and not use it for another month. As of this date, I have not received my refund and they have not cancelled my order. All I have been getting is emails from the cancellation department with a bunch of excuses.

LA WEIGHT LOSS Complaints

March 30, 2012

LA WEIGHT LOSS is one of the most infamous and maligned brands we’ve discussed on UnhappyFranchisee.com.

Thousands of customers lost millions of dollars from LA Weight Loss and spin-off Pure Weight Loss entities over the years.

Resentments linger over the fact that LA Weight Loss used hard-sell techniques to induce its members to prepay hundreds, and often thousands, of dollars… then closed the centers and never provided the paid-for services and products and never paid refunds.

They simply kept the money.

Despite allegations that LA Weight Loss is now owned by a different company, the resentments and complaints continue.

Here are some we’ve received in the past year about LA Weight Loss:

Tina wrote:

“Unbelievable!!! These jokers are opening back up after all of the money they scammed me and many others out of. I got stuck buying pre-products that I never finished using and almost $2000 in debt that was never paid back!!! Aaargh!!!

Well since they have money now to re-open… can I get my money back now???”

Correy wrote:

“My complaint comes with, as other have shared, the PRE PURCHASE of products. You kind of did feel that ur arm was twisted to buy in bulk in advance to receive the MINI discount. Then , for them to ‘close shop, lock doors and run away in the cloak of darkness without warning has MADE ME VOW>>>>>>>>>> “NEVER TO PRE PAY, BUY, or purchase anything like that again.”

June wrote:

“Yes, I was a member, and I was scammed out of $1200.00 worth of pre-paid product. I am furious. Please refund me my money.”

Kelly wrote:

“I was going to join LA Weight Loss back about 5 years ago…and they scammed me…I had 10 days to whether or not if I wanted to join…But going over the cost of this program, I decided to give them my letter on the 9th day to let them know I was not joining. But things went from bad to worse. They charged me over $800.00 for what….I didn’t join anything….And so they sent it to credit collection (GEMONEY) to get their money…and I wasn’t paying anything cause I did not join. And now to date…this hurts my credit standing…so thanks to LA Weight Loss Centre. I would not think of joining a weight loss centre or group.”

Kathy Kline wrote:

“Yes, I lost a bunch of money and lites, too. Why can’t the legal system do anything about this type of scam? It is just so easy for the crooks to do the same thing over and over and never get caught. I think there has to be a way to stop this.”

Jennifer wrote:

“My mother and I both became members of L.A. Weight Loss/Pure Weight Loss and were pursuaded to pay for the entire program up front in July 2007 to the tune of about $1,820.00. Then, they closed their doors in January 2008… BUYERS BEWARE, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AND DAMN SURE DON’T PAY FOR ANYTHING UP FRONT OR PROVIDE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION SO THEY CAN CHARGE IT ON A MONTHLY BASIS!!!”

Elizabeth Dean wrote:

“LA weight loss is a ripoff, I paid 3,000 dollars for LA Lites and the program and they closed the store down. They had signs up to go to another store in Murfreesboro Tennessee. I went there every month to pick up my bars and they had went out of business. They should be made to give everybody their money back.”

P. McGinniss wrote:

“LA Weight Loss closed without notice in Saskatoon They owe me product for a few hundred dollars and I was on track for my re-bate. It’s bad enough when you are overweight and are working hard at losing and then some asshole company takes your money and does not care. How do I get my money or product, does anyone know?”
